Morning of Picking on Woodwinds

Soon it will be the string instruments...FWAHAHAHA!!!

OK, I'm in theory class and Dr. Code is talking about some word and then he takes a trip and falls. And then he says the word means "to fall". My heart jumped - I thought he fell for real. Talk about a morning wake-up call, lol.

Woodwinds Rule anyway....They're just fun to poke at, lol :)
Now some random stuff I just don't know where to put...

Bradley/Pride: (in the distance) Mustang! Make sure you get those 500+ copies of music copied and stuffed into folders to be sent out by tomorrow. No excuses.
Mustang: *stunned thinking* Inconsiderate ugh. And I had a date tonight too, with a certain trumpet player nonetheless...

Oh snap. What was I supposed to practice for my lesson?!

Or...

Whoa. Hot trumpet player just caught my eye.

Small Post

I would just like to say something before heading to Dalton to practice....

That's two state titles in a row! Whoo-hoo. I miss my high school band and all my friends in it :( The people in RPMB are AMAZING!

Supreme Power Morning

Well..it's close to afternoon now. I am soooooo tired that I don't feel like doing anything. Ugh.

This morning/close to afternoon is dedicated to Bradley/Pride and his supreme power of band director-ness. Oh joy.

Band directors are well-renowned for striking fear into the hearts of others. Whoo-hoo for them keeping everyone else living on the edge!!

A real update sometime when I'm less out of it.

More Randomness...Again

Okay, so yesterday night, I went with two of my good friends, Mike and Jeff, to this 'Haunted Hall' thing they were holding in Valley III. It was either $5 dollars or two canned goods to get in, so we went to Meijer to pick up canned soup and we happened to see Spencer who was doing the same thing. When we made it to the 'Haunted Hall', he was just leaving with a lady friend of his, and he was smiling and she was shaking. Oh boy - that scared me from the start.

The event was very well-done...and scared the living daylights out of me. I'm scared of clowns, so of course, the clown ends up getting ridiculously close and starts talking to me, so I'm screaming my head off. And just before that, was a chainsaw guy out of nowhere already getting the blood pumping. There's that Shadow Temple in Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time with the walls that have creepy faces on them that makes me so creeped out that I make my brother play the dungeon all the time. So anyway, there was this room that you went in, and then the lights went out, and bam - glow-in-the-dark masks on walls appear that highly resembeled the Shadow Temple. There were rooms with strobe lights and scary people popping out of nowhere, and you're trying to run away and it feels like you're not getting anywhere. There was a 'Ring' scene and psycho people covered in blood yelling "Help me" and letting out bloodcurdling screams. And I did not like the rooms where you had your eyes open and it was so dark, it was like you had them closed, and things just kept appearing out of nowhere.

Basically, I wouldn't let go of Jeff the whole time because he kept leading me on. And I screamed almost the whole time. Jeff thought it was funny that the other guys that ended up in our group were genuinely freaked out to the point they were arguing about who should go into the next room first. Mike was impressed, but not really spooked out. It was worth it though - I had a lot of fun. I should have FMA pictures to go with this though...

Before going into the hall...

When we were hearing stories about it while we were waiting, I was getting more on edge about the whole thing.

In the hall...

What was happening 90 percent of the time I was in there. The remaining percentage was either me clinging to someone or closing my eyes.

Finally making it out of the hall...

My heart was racing about as fast as a person being chased by demons feels.

Random comic!! Because I'm too tired to write...Had a huge football game today, WMU vs. EMU. We were down 15-3 and in the last 9 minutes of the 4th quarter, it was turned to have WMU win 18-15. It was super exciting - I screamed and cheered so much, I lost half of my voice. And it was "Band Day", so we had hundreds of high schoolers come march halftime with us and it was so much fun!! I got to see Garrett and Kara again, so I was ridiculously psyched. ^.^

Congratulations
Reeths-Puffer Marching Band!!
on taking first place for
Flight II in MCBA State Championships.
That's a title two years in a row (whoo-hoo!)

Oh yeah!!! ^.~
....It's all I have to say..*grin*

Midterms are FINALLY OVER!!!

I feel like starting with a quote...

"Nothing's perfect.
The world's not perfect, but it's there for us,
trying the best it can. That's what makes it
so damn beautiful."
-Roy Mustang (Episode 51)

Last week...

Breda: Ugh - the thought of midterms makes my stomach sick!!
Falman: Midterms - NOOOO!! Who would conceive such a torture?!
Fuery: Midterms shall be destroyed by my fist of fury, fwahaha!

This week...

Mustang: Soo...How did midterms go? Mine were nice and simple, of course.

Fuery: My theory exam was a lot easier than I thought! And I didn't fall asleep this time.
Falman: History was such a pain! I knew everything, but I still I had to stay an extra half an hour to finish. My hand felt like it snapped off and I was short half an hour of practicing because of this.
Breda: Theatre was 100 multiple choice questions. Easier thing ever minus those questions that asked about random events and people that you would find in the side boxes in the textbook.
Havoc: Ugh....I just remembered that I did not write in the accidentals for my minor melodic dictation on my aural comprehension exam. Note that I am very angry.

And now...

I am SO OVERJOYED that it's over!!!
Whoo-hoo!

*Note* This time, everyone's feelings are my own. I am enjoy expressing my feelings through images. It's great fun!! It's late now so....
Tonight, I leave you with another picture of Mr. Sexy Roy Mustang so that I will have sweet dreams. Ooo yay! ^.~

Soooo...dreamy. *happy sigh*

Me = Busy

Two midterms tomorrow - (oh no!). I am so busy with everything that I haven't had time to study much. Not good.

Theatre class did let out early today, so I spent the extra 15 minutes in between that and concert band to make my super awesome friend Casey something super awesome-y sweet! And she's a rocking clarinet player, oh yeah.

The picture was perfect for the expression ^.^

Now just more of my usual randomness...

Back at my high school, they were called traverses. In BMB, they're known as slides. Traverses/Slides = Agony.

Ah, band directors and their egotistic selves. I can't wait to be a band director!!! Whoo!

I guess if Scar is a piccolo player...then Ed might as well be a tuba player. Lol, the tuba would probably squash Ed - XD. And Scar would squeeze the life out of the piccolo. *shrug* Oh well, what can you do?

Ed: He just didn't...
Al: Yes he did. Do you see the smoke?
Roy: Next time I see you in my nice big practice room, it won't be just your bassoon I set on fire!

That's all for now folks. I am busy, tired, tired, tired, and more busy. I NEED TO PRACTICE!!! I feel like I'm going to fall over any second now. Update later - have a super duper night.

Monday morning,,,

Monday mornings are always the hardest thing to get up to...and they're even harder to stay awake through if you're first class in the morning is Music Theory. The class isn't that bad, but it's hard and hearing the Monday morning lecture lures you to sleep unfortunately....

And guess what?!

The class was canceled this morning!! So I didn't have to go through my traditional Monday morning. Whoo-hoo.

Some things to make me smile for the day...

I heart Roy Mustang and Maes Hughes! =^,^=

Taken from fullmetalcan's 'Silent Movie Revised' because it totally made me laugh. Note: The Hughes panel is my addition.
Please note that this is read the American way...Left to Right :)

Oh yeah!!!!! I like the look in his eye. The 'Don't-Mess-With-Me-Or-I'll-I'll-Set-You-On-Fire' look. *melt*

Now just more midterm studying for the three I have this week (bleh)....Have to take care of finishing touches for my etude I'm playing in studio class later....Practice for lesson tomorrow...Write paper...Practice...Practice some more.....

Flame Alchemist Surveillance Log

From my favorite FMA episode ever!!! Episode 37: The Flame Alchemist, Bachelor Lieutenant, and the Mystery of Warehouse 13! Then comes my own twist....

Breda:Roy Mustang surveillance log? What's this about?
Havoc: You got me. I've been ordered by Internal Affairs to keep an eye on the Colonel.
Falman: To assist with our ongoing investigation of Colonel Mustang... We order you to confidentially report back to us with surveillance of his every move.
Fuery: You mean... You've been spying on Mustang?
Havoc: Yeah, but this surveillance gig is too big for one man.
So, if any of you want in on the action....

Havoc: Sunday, 0946 hours, knowing full-well the day before that he had homework due by 1700, he wakes up late and ended up stretching in front of a window. He loves those morning sunrises.

Fuery: 1026 hours. The colonel looks at his list of homework and studying to do for the day with much distaste. Surprisingly, he did not set the page on fire.

Breda: At 1103 hours. he decided to play with Lt. Hawkeye's dog, stating that it was much better than singing through minor scales for Aural Comprehension.

Fuery: Then at 1247 hours, he started obscessively cleaning the windows. Still, no progress on those papers, with the deadline fast approaching.

Falman: 1236 hours. Mustang ended up nodding off while attempting to start on his music theory homework that dealt with four-part writing and harmonization.

Havoc: At 1600 hours, the Colonel began to furiously scribble out his homework all the while cursing that 'he didn't have time for this'.

Falman: At 1730, abandoning all attempt to finish his already late homework, Mustang started to leave. He claimed to be going on an over-night exploratory mission, but you could tell he was going to Dalton to practice his trombone.

Breda: Later that night, at 2300 hours. Mustang came back from a long five and half hours of intense practicing.

Breda: And judging by the very pleased and arrogant look on his face, his practicing must of been very productive and he's ready for his lesson tomorrow.
...Unless that's a glazed look. Then he's definitely in his own little world and he wants to go to bed.

Isn't he adorable?! ^.~

Yeah, I had a long weekend of studying for midterms with deadlines for this and that. I would of rather been doing other fun stuff than studying and homework, but hey, that's life. The one thing I did do outside my room was practice. I'm so happy I got a lot of practice time in!!! XD . Ooookay...time for sleep after a long weekend.

Trombone lessons and Practicing...

Practice at the minimum two hours a day, but if you want to be a super awesome instrumentalist, doing the minimum is considered slacking off. Never settle for nothing less than your best...or practice perfection..or some other over-used saying about how practice makes you perfect.

Every day is a busy day for a music major and the most frustrating thing is not how other classes went, it's finding time to practice that won't put you behind in all your other classes.

One of the best feelings in the world is doing a good job in your lesson. Because you've worked an entire week to make your etudes and/or solo(s) sound good enough to keep progressing. And it's rare to get a lot of compliments..like good tone, technique, or whatever. Half the time, it is unclean articulation, slow slide, more air support, etc. I've been having awesome lessons lately, so I'm celebrating! =^.^=

Self-explanitory. It's what all musicians live by, lol.

I have FREE TIME right now!!!
I think I'll watch some episodes of FMA...like Ep. 37 because that one is hilarious!
